Attackers use social media and corporate filing to choose goals, which take advantage of France’s compulsory executive revelations under KYC laws.

In response, the French government launched an emergency protocol with a dedicated police hotline and residential security audits of elite terrorism units. A specialised 200 officer Crypto Crime Task Force combines cyber and organised crime experts, while Interpol collaboration improves sharing of Darknet Intelligence.
Large companies such as Ledger and Paymium have upgraded safety with biometric tracking. AI threat detection, decentralised housing and verification of zero knowledge. However, this crisis provides intense debate on privacy and regulation.
